We at PRIMARQ are dedicated to changing the paradigm of housing finance, from an excessively leveraged system to one that improves the affordability and sustainability of homeownership. While our mission of bringing much needed equity capital to bear from private sector sources in search of market returns, we do recognize the fundamental importance of homeownership on communities, neighborhoods, children and society in general and the need to enable homeownership in areas and circumstances which may not offer just a compelling “financial return”. It is for this reason that we have set up the PRIMARQ Foundation. A 501(c) 3 corporation, the Foundation will be making both grants and program related investments into underprivileged, low income and challenged areas to enable, preserve and sustain homeownership, whether assisting low income first time homebuyers with down payment funding, providing incremental equity funds to those seeking loan modification in hopes of avoiding foreclosure, or assisting homeowners in making their homes more energy efficient, thereby reducing utility expenses.
